About Us

We are the Sportsmen's Off-Road Vehicle Association of Delta County located in Escanaba, Michigan. We are a group of local sportsmen who enjoy riding ORV's through the scenic wilderness of Upper Michigan. Our club is extremely diverse with members ranging in age from 5 months to 900 months old, some are in school, just starting work and families or maybe retired, enjoying the time off that they deserve. We have members in Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota -- all people who love four wheeling in Delta county and the central U.P.

We promote ORV safety, responsible, curtious riding, environmentally friendly trail development and great family fun in the U.P of Michigan. If you need a trail map, you can download them off the Michigan DNR site or the National Forest website. You can also visit your local DNR or National Forest Service office, as they are always eager to assist in helping locate designated trail systems.

Come join an ORV club working to improve our sport locally. This Delta County non-profit organization is a family oriented group who enjoy ORVing. As ORV enthusiasts, we need to work together with Government officials and the general public. This will allow us to protect what we have and develop new areas to ride and enjoy the great outdoors. Get out of the house and on the trail, join our club and help to make a difference. There are a lot of great places to see on your ORV.

Classes

If you have someone interested in recreational safety classes, go to the DNR's Safety Education site. Select the type of training and the county needed and you will receive contact information to sign up for the next available session.

Youth Operator Age Restriction

Information regarding Youth ORV Operators can be found in The Handbook of Off-Road Vehicle Laws. You may realize you are within the rules, or maybe get the additional information and training you need to ride safe and legal.

Where Can I Ride?

There are 3,100 miles of signed designated ORV trails and routes in Michigan. They are broken down to 73% of state land, 14% on national forests and 13% county or state roads. There are also thousands of miles of state, county and national forest roads in the UP open to ORV use.

Where does our money go?

We all pay $16.25 annually to ride our ORV's on public land, here is how it is used:
